Amreli
The city of Amreli, formerly Amaravalli, is in southwestern Gujarat state, west-central India. It is primarily a commercial center with industries that include the manufacture of khadi (coarse cotton cloth), tanning, silver working, and cotton ginning.
The hill has 62 rock shelters scattered at different levels. The most interesting group has ornate carvings and stupas, rock cut pillows, benches and chaityas. Some caves also have a dome and pillared hall. Experts believe that these are among the few earliest caves of Western India dating from 2nd century BC.
Private and state bus services are available from different junctions in the state.
The town has a railway station that is connected to major cities in Gujarat.
The closest airports to Junagadh are Keshod (40 km) Porbandar (86 km) and Rajkot (103 km).
